Tips on how to use QR-Codes
TELL USERS WHAT TO DO
A direct call to action like "Scan me" written close to the QR-Code improves the scan rate dramatically.
COMMUNICATE THE BENEFITS
Communicate to your users the benefit from scanning the QR-Code. From getting premium content, a discount or making their job easier, telling people why they should scan the QR-Code, improves the usage rate.
|
DESIGN YOUR QR CODE
Make your QR-Code unique and include your logo, or a specific icon to make it more recognisable and use it as an additional marketing opportunity.
DIMENSION AND MATERIAL
Depending on the distance we recommend to print the QR-Code at least 2x2 cm. Also, the material is crucial. For packaging, you can include it directly into the product design, whereas for industrial use is advisable to print it on PVC labels or engrave it on metal plates.
