Overview

Anomalous and missing data generated by defective sensors was hampering our client data collection and analysis. The team was discovering data-logging problems only after weeks or months. Irregular or missing data seriously limited the analytics activity and created a cost for the team that needed to reconstruct the missing data partially. In addition, faulty sensors could cause damage or inefficient machine behaviour.

Once Scops was implemented, the team defined condition monitoring alerts in bulk or specifically to every asset. Scops analyses every measurement coming from each sensor continuously, and alerts are sent to the team if anomalous records are observed.

Our client has greatly reduced data losses, and defective sensors are identified immediately. The client has increased the data quality significantly as Scops can quickly report anomalous records. As a result, the maintenance team can intervene swiftly to replace faulty sensors. Also, sensors calibration activities are much easier now and engineers can focus their calibration activities on the sensors that need it the most.
